In the spring of '96 a bunch of friends that played Cricket on Saturdays got into a discussion that the largest international community on UT Austin was not represented by a student organization. They decided to form a cultural organization that would primarily cater to the needs and desires of international Indian, they named this organization the "Indian Cultural Association".
