In 1949 Lala Amarnath started his own manufacturing of cricket balls at a small scale. Soon the business started to expand and he had to move from Jalandhar to Delhi (Capital of India) in 1962. There he established his company as Kimati Sports Works (Regd).

Nivia pioneer in sports ball manufacturing since 1934, was established in Sialkot by Late Mr. N.C. Kharabanda. The company started making excellent hand stitched leather footballs, volleyballs and basketballs for the world market.
